Shipping Policy

1. Our Shipping Commitment

The Honest Basket partners with trusted and reliable logistics providers to ensure your order of delicious flavored makhana reaches you in the freshest possible condition and promptly. This Shipping Policy details our delivery procedures, timelines, charges, and areas of service.

2. Shipping Destinations

We currently provide shipping services across all states and union territories of India. We do not offer international shipping at this time. Delivery timelines and charges vary based on the destination’s pin code and serviceability by our partner couriers.

3. Order Processing Time

All orders are hand-packed with care. Our standard order processing time is 24-48 hours from the time of order confirmation and successful payment, excluding Sundays and National Holidays. During festival seasons or major sale events, processing time may extend slightly, which will be communicated on the website.

4. Delivery Timelines

Once your order is shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number and a link to monitor your package. Estimated delivery times from the date of shipping are:

  • Major Metros (Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Pune): 3-4 Business Days
  • Tier 1 & Tier 2 Cities: 4-5 Business Days
  • Rest of India (including remote areas): 5-7 Business Days

Business Days exclude Sundays and public holidays.

Please note: These are estimated timelines and not guaranteed delivery dates. Delays may occasionally occur due to unforeseen circumstances such as adverse weather conditions, transportation delays, regional restrictions, or force majeure events. Our customer support team will assist you in tracking your order if delays arise.

5. Shipping Charges

Shipping charges are calculated in real-time based on your delivery pin code and order weight/value. The exact shipping fee will be displayed clearly at checkout before you finalize payment.

  • For orders under ₹499, a flat-rate shipping fee of ₹99 applies.
  • All orders of ₹499 or more qualify for Free Standard Shipping.

6. Delivery Process & Responsibilities

  • Address Accuracy: It is your responsibility to provide a complete, accurate, and deliverable shipping address with the correct pin code and contact number. We cannot be held responsible for delays or non-delivery due to incorrect addresses.
  • Delivery Attempts: Our courier partner will typically make 1-2 delivery attempts. If you are unavailable, they may leave a notification card.
  • Failed Deliveries: If delivery fails due to incorrect address, recipient unavailability, or refusal to accept, the package will be returned to us. Still, you want your order, you have to place fresh order again.
  • Proof of Delivery: Upon delivery, the courier may obtain a signature or OTP confirmation (as per local norms) as proof.

7. Order Tracking

You can track your order in two ways:

  1. Click the tracking link provided in your shipping confirmation email/SMS.
  2. Log in to your account on our website and view your order history.

8. Title & Risk of Loss

All items purchased from The Honest Basket are delivered pursuant to a shipment contract. This means that the risk of loss and title for such items passes to you upon our delivery to the carrier (courier partner).

9. Shipping for Returns

For returns initiated due to our error (damaged/incorrect product), we will provide a prepaid return shipping label or arrange a pickup at our cost. For other eligible returns, return shipping may be at the customer’s expense, as detailed in our Refund Policy.
